There was a time when bikes were built to last, and iron was the king of the tubes, these bikes use to rule every street, race or beach esplanade. Then all the high tech came along and the bikes were put into the darkest corner of each garage. In Ferropur we restore these frames to bring them to their former glory and we fit them with the coolest brand of new parts, so you can get the old frames moving at a modern speed. Corsario Custom 29er
This is the 1st frame I built right from scratch...
a bunch of steel tubes in a box that were to become a bike some day; and it took a while...
Many lessons learn along the way, many, many mistakes and a very long time invested in the making (not always proactively) but overall it has been an absolute joy to see the bike come together and to shape it (literally) to what I wanted it to be.
The basic rig is a Columbus Zona tubing which angles are based on the famous Niner S.I.R. 9 29er frame, who better to reference from than a truly committed 29er company.
As you can see in my previous frame building posts all the work is 100% handmade by we Beneyto bros. Seriously, building a frame from scratch is A LOT of work. I would never have thought so...
After several atempts to paint the bike myself using car paint, I was never satisfied with the final look, since it produced a lot of imperfections and not enough protection. Finally I got the frame professionally powdercoated which trully gives the frame an impressive final look.

Going to the point of the finished bike now:
The wheels where stolen from my RM Altitude and fitted with Schwalbe Big Apple 28x2.0 tires (yes 28" tires fit perfectly on 29ers, insane how much confusion all this marketing name changing causes...).
I had to go for slick tires since (mistake number 4) I did not account for enough clearing on the top chain stays... damn... anyway I'm really not unhappy about the final result with thinner than wished tires...
This bike was build to be single speed and so have I kept it. It's easy enough to transform any wheel to single cog and any cranks to single chainring. It's a bit tricky to tension the chain, but the Surly Tuggnut takes care of it.
The Jetblack grips have a story behind them since they were a gift I got at the Scott 24h Mtb at Camberra, which was actually the day I decided I needed a steel 29er! they also work a treat!
I owe the Hope Mono disc brakes to Jaume who generously donated them to the cause. After a good bleed they do a great job.
We are particularly proud of the CNC cut Ferroupur logos, quite a work of art that give the bike a super exclusive look.
I leave you some pics of the end result. btw this bike is NOT for sale!! it's now part of the family for ever!

MC-1
From our Spanish "branch" comes MC-1. An awesome example of bike restoration and part reuse.
The frame is an airbrushed Otero which used to be Jaume´s former racing bike. He has gone to a great length of trouble to give it an awesome raw finish and the ferropur logos are laser engraved!!
A big thank you to Jaume for such an awesome work!
As per usual here is the component list:
- Octane lock-on grips
- Avid V-brakes levers and calipers
- Shimano Deore shifters
- Customized Amoeba handlebar. Bland-blasted and laser engraved.
- Ritchey Stem.
- Octane one headset.
- Rock shock indy fork.
- Tranz X Anti burglary skewers
- Mavic 26" Rims
- Hutchinson Tyres
- Pazzaz front Hub
- Otero Feroce custom frame
- Custom hand made Carbon fiber saddle. (Truly a piece of art)
- Custom Ferropur seat post.
- Shimano xt front derailleur
- Shimano / Ferropur custom Cranks
- Sram Chain
- Shimano LX rear derailleur.
- Formula rear Hub.
Trully a part reuse masterpiece!!

Kit's concept

This beauty has been designed and assembled by Kit using a Ferropur restored frame. It is an awesome example of Ferropur philosophy having reused a whole lot of great vintage parts and combined them with brand new performance ones.
He has been kind enough to send us some pics and a brief description of the bike. Thanks mate!

"Thanks, almost exclusively, to eBay and gumtree this ferropur frame found a new lease of life. SRAM cranks and a San Marco saddle were paired with leftovers from previous builds to give the project a sleek finish.
Cheers,
Kit."

unfinished business

here is the awesome 700c frame and fork that unfortunately I won´t have time to finish, so I´ll let the lucky owner decide how to fit this beauty.
It has been professionally power coated and fitted with reflective ferropur decals.
Keep and eye on Ferropur bikes!
