So I went down to Ausbike trading expo in Melbourne during the weekend to have a look at how the Australian bike industry is doing. Even though it was a fun event, heaven I'd say, to be surrounded by sooo many bikes and components, I must admit that I'm somehow disappointed with what they had to offer in terms of Australian manufactured or at least designed stuff. Almost 95% of the expo was imported stuff, with the honorable exception of a Carbon fiber bike designer based in Melbourne, which I found most interesting.
However in terms of the Single Speed and customized bikes I found some nice quirky bikes, none of them Australian made unfortunately... Check them out!
